We have been to Mexico literally about 12 times as a couple. This is obviously one of our favorite destinations to travel when looking to spend time at the beach for several reasons. For starters, Mexico is close to the USA, secondly it is relatively inexpensive to stay at a nice all inclusive resort, the ocean blue waters are crystal clear and far as the eye can see and lastly we have always felt safe there despite the media reports of gang drug warfare.

We recently went back to the Finest Playa Mujeres located in Cancun, Mexico. I booked our vacation through Bookit.com as we have done so many times in the past. I chose the Finest Playa Mujeres after reading great reviews on Trip Advisor and looking through an entire gallery of pictures both on their website as well as patrons photos. Initially what sold me on this hotel was the modern decor, I'm a sucker for good interior design and this hotel ticked all the boxes for me. There are rooms with private hammocks located in the pool in front of your room, totally an instagram photoshoot spot. I opted for a room with a private pool for the kids to enjoy although we did also use the public pool just steps from our lawn. The one thing I raved about the entire time was their kids club. My children are relatively young and we've traveled to a few places but have never felt comfortable enough to use a kids club facility until we stayed here. Phoenix was 4 years old when we first let him stay at the kids club. He is rather adventurous and social so I knew he would be fine; however I did check in on him just to make sure. There were plenty of activities for them, a small water park as well as a larger water slide for the older kids, which he was able to enjoy because he can swim. Phoenix and Cairo were also able to go horseback riding on the beach together. This was my favorite part of the entire trip! The food at the restaurants were all amazing, especially since there is all you can eat lobster! Who wouldn't love that! The beach is also very nice. I am a beach bum so choosing a hotel with a great beach front is a must for me. I don't want to deal with mounds of seaweed, although that is totally controlled by the ocean, rocky entrance and otherwise dark water. You don't have to worry about that here at all. Also their gym is grade A in my opinion. It is a great size, has free weights, a smith machine, couple leg machines, treadmills and an open room which can be used for yoga or stretching. It also has a good cross-fit section! There is even a trainer on hand to assist with questions + can be booked for sessions.

If you are looking to book a fun, family vacation in Mexico definitely consider this hotel, you won't be disappointed.
Happy Travels!
