It's mid-July and if you're located in the South like we are, school will be starting in T minus 20 days. If you haven't been able to do some fun 'unplugged' experiences with your children yet there is still time before you gear up for the new school year. You can still make the most of this summer even if you don't board a plane by becoming a hometown tourist. Yes you read right, be a tourist in your own backyard, take a staycation, visit a museum, new park or drive to a nearby beach. Read on for some of the fun adventures going on in my city and probably similar ones in yours too!
