Motherhood the scariest hood you'll ever go through

Sometimes in motherhood you need a good laugh and this quote on a t-shirt does just that. Right now 3PM seems to be the witching hour in my house because that is around the time when my boys both get reunited for the day and all that built up testosterone comes bubbling out. Toddler quarrels are an everyday thing around these parts and I'm so over it! I've always heard that it gets better as they age but right now I can't see the forest from the trees. I literally feel like I may need to start drinking CBD oil by the gallon right about now lol No seriously, as I'm writing this I literally had to break up 2 fights within a span of a few minutes. You'd think they'd miss each other and give one another a warm embrace but instead it's pushing, yelling and taunting of coveted toys. I might need a toddler whisperer or just a good ole sage burning to get out these bad vibes. I hope it's OK to use this platform to be transparent even though it is for business as well because after all I love nothing else but to honestly be myself.
My husbands job can be somewhat stressful on the family too. He has an early start and depending on traffic won't get home until late so my motherhood hours can be as long as 12 hour shifts until I get a break. Most of the time when he comes home from work he's tired from his day but all I desire is to break free and get some time to myself. When your children are your job sometimes it is hard for others to realize that you too need to 'get off work.' As a true introvert, I need a few hours per day to be alone and being a wife + mother directly contradicts this need but I manage by going to the gym. He is also an entrepreneur in the field of photography, so sometimes when we are blessed enough to have a booking he is gone on the weekends capturing the lives of other people. I won't dare complain about that because after all it is another stream of income for us.

Life is hectic sometimes, you work 5 days a week, come home to your sometimes grouchy children, prepare dinner, do homework, make it through bath-time and hopefully have enough energy to brush the kids teeth before they are put to bed. Then on top of that you have to unwind yourself and spend time with your spouse doing your extracurriculars :) And repeat it all again tomorrow.
My motherhood is simple, chaotic, quirky, adventurous, challenging, happy, and stressful all at the same time. I started my business of selling travel gear as a way to have something of my own. Often times, we as mothers tend to lose ourselves when we start a family, especially if you choose to become a SAHM. Running a small business gives me a sense of purpose outside of just being a caretaker of my children and a spouse to my husband. Afterall, I quit my corporate job to spend more quality time with my children but I still wanted more than just motherhood. When you buy from me and support my small business, this is what's behind all that. You are buying into the idea of supporting an entrepreneur, female business owner, outside the box thinker, creative type and most of all a mom. As an avid photographer, I love capturing moments like this of our lives. These moments are the cause you are supporting so thank you, all of you who choose to shop with us.
