Traveling can wreak havoc on your skin from the dry air circulating on the plane to the cabin pressure and the change in climate + temperature at your new destination. I usually pack very lightly and therefore always have my toiletry bag handy during the flight. Lately, I've been loving the Eminence clear skin line. It comes with a travel sized, moisturizer, mask, cleanser and serum. This past summer I started implementing the Korean 7 step skincare method plus drinking tons of water and my skin looks so much better. I exercise like a mad woman but it still very hard for me to drink 1 gallon of water per day every. single. day. I love the starter kit because you can test out the product line and take it with you on the go in their cute tote bag.
When it comes to moisturizing my body, I tend to go for natural products as well such as African Shea butter. I usually pick up mine at my local beauty supply store. It's less than $10 for a large tub and that usually lasts me quite awhile. There are also no added ingredients or fillers and that's exactly how I like my skincare. I use shea butter only my body as it is too thick for my face. I use it on my children as well especially in the cooler Fall and Winter months. I do want to dabble in making in making my own lotion and found this site, Mountain Herbs, where you can order organic ingredients and create your own batch at home. This is totally up my alley but of course to get started you have to shell out some coin. I'm still doing my research on exactly what I want to get first so I'm not just spending dollars and having a science experiment in my kitchen for the fun of it. I want my skin to be poppinton like @ownfemme she has THE.BEST.BRONZE.TAN
Sunscreen is the last but certainly not the least thing on the my list. Lately I've been using Blackgirl Sunscreen. It is made of all natural ingredients and specifically for us, no white residue when applied. Give it a try!
