Last year has seemed to go by so quickly that I can't believe I'm already gearing up for another. Honestly it has been very taxing on me especially when it comes to Motherhood. My days are spent entirely with my kids and this year my oldest FINALLY started Kindergarten. I originally wanted to homeschool but the way my anxiety is set up that is just not going to happen. As a result of the overwhelming feeling I get from managing my household, motherhood and wifely duties my stress and anxiety is through the roof!

When I'm stressed out I tend to eat lots of carbs as do most of us and have slowly slipped past my level of comfort when it comes to my own body image and weight. I went to a very satisfied bawdy during my momcation in September only to return to my normal life and binge like food was going out of style. Therefore, self-care definitely is one of my top goals in 2019 and that starts with a consistent diet and exercise routine. Social media doesn't make it any easier either, this I know. We've all seen the meme stating "Unfollow any account that makes you feel less than," floating around and for me some of those accounts unfollowed were people I knew where promoting fitness results that were surgically achieved. There are so many beautifully curated accounts full of fit mothers and non moms alike who seem to have it all together with thriving children and businesses that sometimes I wonder what I might be doing wrong. Although, I know that IG is not real life, if you spend enough time scrolling online the lines tend to blur. The big thing that makes a huge difference for me is if I actually had more time to spend alone working on myself but since we don't have a support system here it's just the two of us and that system has worn me down. I've seen too many times how moms just seem to fall apart or let themselves go and I'm determined now more than ever to reclaim my time and get into the best shape of my life. My husband even signed himself up for a Tough Mudder game but I'm not doing alllllllll dat! lol

I'm not personal trainer or fitness guru but here is some of the plan that I created plus have done in the past with great results. If you are interested in the Full plan send me an email to hello@motherhoodunplg. Let's post our successes, workouts, meal preps and post gym selfies. Tag me on Instagram and use the hashtag #muvaunplgfitness The first week is supposed to jumpstart your system, clean out all that holiday food and prepare you for your new clean eating journey. After week 1 one I drop down from 2 gallons per day to just 1 and no longer drink a daily detox tea but instead opt for green tea. Detox tea is simply to get your bowels moving regularly as well as flush out extra water weight. You can also drink ACV, lemon and water as well as that seems to do the trick for some.

As far as a fitness routine goes, I will be focusing on building my glutes/legs plus cardio to trim unwanted fat. I get inspiration from lots of fitness trainers and gurus on Instagram as well as some videos on YouTube. I will be sure to share what workout of the day I'm doing whether it's at home or the gym. If you are interested in a pdf of my workout plan, send me an email to hello@motherhoodunplg. Let's keep each other encouraged and accountable. No late night snacks, alcohol or treats especially if you know you will get off track. Eventually once you create a habit of clean eating your taste buds will change and you won't crave the sugar and carbs any longer. It also helps to clean out your pantry and household of all the junk food. If you must keep some for the other family members put it in a place that is out of sight so you aren't tempted to grab that chocolate while fixing your kids lunch for the day. Usually going to the gym is the part of the day where I get to focus on myself and unwind from my home life. If you don't enjoy the gym, work out at home or outdoors if the weather permits. Most of all have fun and don't get discouraged if you can't work out every single day of the week, make a goal that is attainable and stick to that.
Have fun ladies and don't forget to tag me @motherhoodunplg #muvaunplgfitness
