Royalton Riviera Cancun | Motherhood Unplugged

We traveled to the wonderful country of Mexico again for the millionth time lol Seriously I lost count as to how many times we've been there as a couple. We have stayed at quite a few places and usually chose by the price at our time of booking. We have come to love the Finest Playa Mujeres but they were just too pricey so we went with the Royalton Riviera Cancun hotel. Let me just say this hotel is simply beautiful. The breathtaking views that you get upon arrival are simply stunning and a big kudos to the architect who designed the place. We chose this hotel because it has a very expansive kids water park, which both of my boys loved. They also have a nice kids club facility but their activities were less stellar than those at the Finest who offered free horseback riding on the beach! You can't beat that kind of fun on vacation.

The hotel room we chose was 9455. You have the option to pre-select your room. We had a partial ocean view but a full view of the exterior jungle and got a glimpse of the Mexican ant eaters climbing over the fence to grab a snack from the local vacationers. There are signs everywhere for you not to feed the animals though. I took my gym clothes with me and woke up around 5AM to workout in their amazing gym facility. Seriously they have EVERYTHING even a tractor tire you can flip indoors along with all kinds of crossfit equipment, an assault bike, cardio equipment and many squat racks with bumper plates. I was in heaven!

The food was simply delish! We mostly ate at the main buffet restaurant because they had everything you could want from fresh fruit, ice cream, traditional Mexican with yummy guac to stir fry seafood and my favorite sushi! I am still sad that I can't have access to that menu everyday :( lol

Over all, everyone enjoyed their stay at this resort. We went windsurfing as a family for only $12! That's a steal! My kids frolicked on the beach, slid down water slides and hung out in the kids club the entire vacation. We all came back bronze and happy. I'm definitely ready for our next adventure to Peru! Lima here we come!
