How much 💸 can you make with VIPKID?

When it comes to money the sky is the limit but not really. Your pay rate is determined at the time of your interview. You will be offered anywhere from $7 to $9 per hour depending on how well you do and your educational background plus experience with teaching children. Your classes are only 25 minutes each. If you teach 2 classes per hour AND start them on time you get $1 extra pay per class. That means if your rate is $8 per hour/class and you start on time then you get $9 for that class. Let's say you teach 15 classes per day for 5 days a week for 1 month. How much money is that? 15 classes x at $8 per class plus the $1 bonus for starting on time means you make $9 for each class 5 days per week. You could make $2700.00 tax free. You of course are liable to report your own taxes as a 1099 employee at the end of each year or you can pay quarterly. It is recommended to save 10-20% of each check for taxes, even though you may not owe any depending on your situation.

You can make even more money when you refer other teachers 💕 or by signing up to be a substitute teacher, which I have done as well. When you sub that means someone has cancelled last minute and the student needs a sub, you will only have 15 mins if that to prepare so you really need to have your game face on if and when you decide to do so. The VIPKID team will send you an email once you have a good rating (5 apples) and a good track record ( teacher no shows, IT problems, cancellations) etc.

Making money teaching ESL classes while you travel is the easiest way to fund your lifestyle. There are no sales involved. All you need is a computer, headset and wifi. You can use electronic props too to save on carrying lots of things around in your luggage.
