Master Class Trials are all about engagement + your interaction with the student. Your goal is to impress the parents with a fun introduction to VIPKID. Below are some tips to help you be successful.
1. Your intro is crucial. Be warm and bubbly. Check into the classroom early just in case the student logs on early you have a chance to assess their demeanor before you bust into the class on level 10 and they are at a 4. Make sure you have good lighting in your classroom. Use a puppet to encourage conversation and student output. Ask the student their name. If it is an older student build rapport with questions about their life. What do you like to do with you friends? What's your favorite subject in school?
2. Have a reward system that works. Tailor your rewards by age and gender. Try reward systems like ice cream scoops, cookies or slices of pizza.
3. Be sure to have fun! The students first experience with VIPKID should be a fun one. Allow the student to speak while you focus on the lesson objectives.
4. In closing be sure to thank the students and parents if they are around for choosing you today.
5. Write simple and effective feedback.
Example:
Thank you for booking with me today! I really enjoyed teaching (student's name). Explain their strengths (at least 2). Write how VIPKID can aid in their development going forward and build upon this foundation. State that you believe their student will be successful with VIPKID.
*Write a thank you note directly to the child saying you hope to see them again. This can be done with ecards*
Key points:
-Be punctual

-Patient (don't over correct and allow for wait time)
