Well, March is officially here and that means my first month with VIPKID is in the books! I've learned SO much since starting this journey on February 10. I started not knowing that the Chinese New Year started a week before I began teaching and that in itself would be a hurdle to overcome but as you can see within my first 5 days I already taught 3 classes. I also took advantage of the Hutong bookings booster and won 6 slots! Those bookings boosters helped me to attract more parents to hire me in order to get gems but that only lasted for 1 week. I had to hustle to make the rest of the weeks count. I also made a very aggressive personal goal to make $1000.00 within my first month of teaching. That goal enabled me to push myself to open up more slots even in the weee hours of the morning or late at night. Although it was tough waking up or staying up later the perks of my bank balance was worth it! I made $782 just a few hundred shy of my goal but I am so pleased with my success nevertheless. Now just imagine if I had been a seasoned VIPKID teacher and taught for an entire month! I can't wait to see how I crush March!
I ended the month of February 2019 with 76 classes on the books and counting! Today is March 1st and I taught 3 classes this morning + my schedule is steadily filling up. Green is definitely becoming my favorite booking color 😊 My main goal for taking up a job as an ESL teacher was to have an outlet where I could be creative, effective and feel impactful outside of my life as a stay at home mother. This decision has definitely been a positive and self-fulfilling one. My second reason for signing up was to use my extra disposable income for travel. Now that I'm $782 richer, I will be on the hunt for a trip we can take with my very 1st check! Oh the places we will go thanks to VIPKID! ✈ #vipkidteachersthattravel
