VIPKID The Key to a Good Profile Pic

Spot the difference? I thought my original profile picture was good, the one with the 'Welcome Back' sign that is until I attend the 'Marketing 101' workshop in the Hutong. I learned some great tricks to taking a much better picture and applied them right away. Remember you can change your profile and intro video whenever you want.

What are the differences? Well in the first one the color balance is a bit off and I look orange. My smile and pose is circa high-school graduation lol and comes across as fake. I also seem serious although I am smiling. 'Serious' is a good tag that parents can give you on the portal but I wanted to come across as fun and welcoming.

What did I change? I used a flash instead of color correcting in my photo editing program. I included a fun smile that conveys a happy and upbeat personality. I also included a colorful parrot to market myself to the Levels 1-3, which I'm certified for.

Now I'm 100% much happier with my photo and it conveys the message I want to send.

Use these tricks and tips to help make yourself a VIPKID super star. Remember you will be viewed in a sea of other teachers on the the parents portal. Be different and make yourself stand out! Most of all, be yourself because everyone else is taken.
